Strawberry Tomato Salad

Many people might think that this combination between strawberry and tomato is odd, but I assure you that it is quite the contrary. Some people think that tomatoes are fruits while others believe that they are fruits. This confusion allows this merge creates a special taste to the salad. The dressing is exquisite and adds an amazing feeling to the salad.


This salad is easily made with only few ingredients. It takes to two main steps to prepare it. Strawberry tomato salad is very rich and nutritive. If you want something healthy for your lunch or dinner, this must be your go-to salad. Normally, this salad is part of a vegan and gluten-free diet. However, what’s so great about it is that you can add or remove any ingredient that you want according to your preferences.



1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar

1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

1 lb mixed tomatoes, (cut into wedges)

8 oz strawberries, (cut into halves)

salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons of chopped fresh basil leaves,

1/4 cup of chopped fresh mint leaves,



In a small ball, mix vinegar and olive oil.

In a large bowl, add your tomatoes and strawberries. Pour your salad dressing on top and drizzle some salt and pepper. Combine everything.

When you want to serve, sprinkle some basil and mint on top and toss.
