This recipe is a delightful way to start your day as it is sweet. It gives you great energy to tackle the day. This meal is perfect for a family breakfast or you can just treat yourself for having a fruitful working week.

It is a combination of simple French toast and Banana pudding. You are free to use it with any fruit that you like, but the mixture of banana, vanilla, butter and maple syrup is just sublime. It takes a little bit of time to make, but it is definitely worth trying!

Ingredients:

Filling:

1 small box of instant banana pudding mix

2 cups of cold milk

½ cup of Cool Whip Whipped topping

French Toast:

6 slices of Brioche or French bread.

1 cup of milk

2 eggs

1 tsp of vanilla

¼ tsp of salt

Butter to fry the bread

Garnish:

Banana slices.

Cool whip topping

Maple Syrup

Method:

In a medium bowl, mix the pudding mix and the milk together.

Fold in the cool whip with the pudding.

Place into a piping bag.

Make a slice in the center of the bread slice to stuff the bread.

Spoon a small amount of the pudding into the slice on the side of the bread.

In a shallow bowl, beat together the eggs and milk, vanilla and salt with a fork.

Dunk both sides of the bread into the egg mixture.

Add butter into a frying pan and place the dipped bread into it.

Fry each slice of bread for two minutes on each side, using medium temperature.

To serve, place a dollop of Cool Whip onto the slice, place a few slices of banana and then drizzle maple syrup over the top.

PS: How to store?

It is better to make only the amount that you are sure will be eaten. However, if needed, you can place any that is left into an airtight container or wrap tightly in plastic and then place into the refrigerator. Don’t Freeze!
