Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Slow cooker Jambalaya is packed with delicious chicken,sausage, and shrimp, which is slow-cooked low to bring out the rich spices. This delicious meal is a simple dish that can be prepared in just 10 minutes of preparation!

The slow cooker that is our family’s favorite recipes usually include honey beef tips or chicken with garlic However, jambalaya is so delicious that we’ve decided to add it to our regular menu. The way that the spices interact with the delicious flavor of shrimp and sausage is so delicious. It’s spicy, delicious, meaty and juicy, this is one dish that you and your loved ones will be able resisting getting another serving !

Ingredients

2 chicken breasts, skinless, boneless, chopped into pieces

1 pound andouille sausage links cut into slices

1 can diced tomatoes 28 ounces

1 Large onion, chopped

1 Red Bell Pepper, finely chopped

2 stalks of celery, thinly sliced

2 cups chicken broth

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

2 teaspoons dried oregano

One tablespoon Cajun seasoning

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 Tablespoon tomato paste

1 cup rice, see note

1 1 pound shrimp 13-15 count

Instructions

All the ingredients, excluding the shrimp to the slow cooker, and stir.

Cook on low for about 7-8 hours (high for 3-4 hours). Rice should be added 1 hour prior to the end of.

Add the shrimp to during the final 15 mins and add to the shrimp in the last 15 minutes .
