I could have it anytime I want. it’s quite normal to go to the Merkley home at night and see that we’re having French Toast or Pancakes. Breakfast plans are amazing! I’m sure we don’t get to enjoy them often enough during the day since we’re typically in a rush but every sometimes are able to appreciate their taste at the end of the week or on special occasions. The most common time we eat them will be on Mother’s Day. In addition, for the most part , I’m not the one to cook it! ?

It’s a day that I am grateful for. The husband and kids work quickly and hard to help their mom. I admit – I love it! It’s great to be thought of every once in an hour or so in addition, Mother’s Day is an occasion I’ve come accustomed to. ?

One of my favourite things to enjoy today includes French Toast, and all especially French Toast Bake. It’s simple to prepare and tastes delicious! If you’re looking for an amazing recipe to prepare for your mother, or transfer this recipe onto your spouse to enjoy this recipe for Mother’s Day, at that moment, here’s the recipe.

Ingredients

1/2 cup of butter that has been melted (1 stick)

1 cup brown sugar 1 cup brown

1 slice Texas toast

4 eggs

1 1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

Sugar powder for sprinkling

 

Directions

In the microwave, melt butter, then add brown sugar and ….stir until it is well-mixed.

Pour the sugar/butter mix into the the bottom of 9×13 pan ….spread all around
Beat eggs, milk, & vanilla

Spread a one layer of Texas Toast in the pan.

Place 1/2 of egg mixture onto bread.

Layer 2 of Texas Toast

Pour remaining egg mixture onto the spoon.

Cover and chill overnight in fridge

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 mins (covered during the initial 30 mins)

Mix in powdered sugar

Serve warm maple syrup with warm

A side note A note that I haven’t attempted this with my gluten-free bread. I’m certain it will work however I haven’t done it.
