Dorito Taco Salad is a delicious salad that we’ve served at potlucks since I’ve been able to remember!
Everyone enjoys a taco salad, and this recipe is definitely popular choice!
Fresh pinto beans, lettuce, vegetables along with Doritos coated with a spicy dressing makes this a thrilling variation to your menu!
I love salads to the core but they do sometimes get boring. The Dorito Taco Salad definitely spices up the boring’same old salad’ rut people tend to fall into. It is not only easy to prepare however, it’s delicious as well!
I adore anything which is inspired by tacos, from casseroles to pasta… And most importantly salads!
The wonderful mix of spices that is found with Taco seasoning (especially my homemade mixture of taco seasoning) and fresh crisp lettuce tastes so delicious! Of all my taco-inspired meals I create, this is definitely the best because everyone is raving about it!
If you have leftover taco meat leftover from a previous recipe it’s perfect for this recipe. Actually, I usually make an extra batch of taco meat to keep in my freezer for quick meals during busy nights.
It only takes me a couple of minutes to defrost it for easy tacos or salads and even to make an entire platter of Loaded Tater Tot Nachos!
The other ingredients are easy and simple to have in your pantry. Pinto beans, and sliced black olives that are canned in the variety are the staples that I keep in the pantry. Lettuce and tomatoes, onions cheese, peppers, cheese, and sour-cream are things I keep on hand.
You can’t ignore Doritos (we enjoy the Nacho Cheese flavor)!

4 Oz 50 less fat, or sharp cheddar cheese with 2 Shred
4 oz nacho cheese Doritos, broken up a bit into bite sized pieces
1 Lb 95 Lean ground beef containing 99%.
1. (1.25 1 ounce) packet of reduced sodium taco seasoning
1 large head of iceberg salad, cut into bite-sized pieces

The ground beef is cooked in a skillet on medium heat. Break it into pieces with an wooden spoon. Add the taco seasoning and mix until it is well coated. Set aside.
In a large bowl, mix the tomatoes, lettuce and cheese, as well as ground beef. When you are ready to serve add the Doritos as well as the dressing and mix in a dressing to coat.
