Fudgy Cookies and Cream Brownies

Everyone adores cookies and brownies. When they are combined, they become indispensable. They texture of the brownies is dense and moist. This doesn’t mean that the brownies are heavy. On the contrary, they are so light. When they are mixed with Oreo cream on top, it creates a very creamy layer. The cream is mixed with chopped Oreos to add special crunchiness to our unique brownies.

These brownies are very easy to make with delicious ingredients. They also don’t take much time to prepare. You can have them with your morning coffee or as a snack in the afternoon. You can also make them for a party or a special gathering. Everyone will love them. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS:

Oreo Brownie Layer

  • 168g unsalted butter
  • 2 oz coarsely chopped semi-sweet chocolate,
  • 414g sugar
  • 3 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 114g Hershey’s Special Dark cocoa powder
  • 130g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 153g chopped Oreos (approximately 14 Oreos)

 

Cookies and Cream Layer

  • about 2 cups of white chocolate chips
  • 6 tbsp heavy whipping cream
  • 26g powdered sugar
  • 138g chopped Oreos (12 pieces of oreo)

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Prepare the oven on 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Spray a non-stick baking spray on your 9×13 baking pan. Lay parchment paper while keeping the sides up to facilitate lifting the baked brownies.
  3. In a microwave safety bowl, melt butter and chocolate for a maximum of 30 seconds; stirring until smooth.
  4. Mix in the sugar until it is well combined.
  5. Whisk together the eggs and vanilla extract.
  6. Add in the flour, cocoa and salt. Mix everything with a spatula. You should obtain a thick batter.
  7. Add in the chopped Oreos and combine.
  8. Pour the batter into the greased pan and place it in the oven to bake 25-30 minutes.
  9. Once the brownies are done, put them aside to cool.
  10. When they are almost cool, start making the cream and cookies layer.
  11. In a large microwave safe bowl, melt the heavy whipping cream and white chocolate chip for a maximum of 30 seconds while stirring occasionally until you obtain a thick mixture
  12. Add in the powdered sugar and chopped Oreos. Then, mix.
  13. Spread this cream on top of the brownies.
  14. When the brownies are cooled completely, cut into squares.
  15. Serve and enjoy.

 

Notes:

  • Instead of Hershey’s Special Dark cocoa powder, you can use natural unsweetened cocoa powder
  • You can store the leftover brownies in an airtight container for a maximum of a week at room temperature.
