PHILLY CHEESESTEAK CHEESY BREAD

INGREDIENTS:

  • 16 ounces Ribeye Steak thinly sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium green bell pepper sliced
  • 1 medium yellow onion sliced
  • 4 ounces mushrooms sliced
  • 1 loaf French bread cut in half
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 10-12 slices Provolone cheese

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Prepare your oven by heating it to 400 degrees F.

Take your ribeye steak and add in salt and pepper.

Place a skillet over medium high-heat.

Add in oil and sear your ribeye steak for 2 minutes to each side.

Add the Worcestershire sauce to the meat and toss.

Remove the meat from the skillet.

To the same skillet, add butter, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms and salt and pepper according to your taste.

Cook these ingredients until they are tender.

Take an oven pan and spread a baking sheet.

Place those halves bread on the pan and spread mayonnaise on top of them.

Put the slices of Provolone cheese.

Top them with steak and vegetables.

Add the remaining cheese on top.

Cook for 10-15 minutes until they are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Cut in two and serve immediately.

 

 

NOTES:

You can choose any cheese that you know will melt perfectly on your bread.

You can use any tender meat instead of Ribeye meat. It’s important for your meat to be tender so as not to make your recipe with very chewy meat.

Marinate your meat in sauces to make it extra tender.

You can add mayonnaise to your bread to make it extra creamy.

 

How to Store?

  • You can store your Philly Cheesesteak cheesy bread in the refrigerator in an airtight container for a maximum of 4 days.
  • If you want to store it in the freezer, keep it in an airtight container for a maximum of 3 months.
  • To prevent sogginess, wrap the bread in tinfoil and reheat it for 15 to minutes at 375 degrees F.
