Pepperoni Bread
It will surely be served on a Sunday afternoon while we watch the AFC as well as NFC finals. The pepperoni loaf is an amazing thing to snack on before the big game. And there’s always a little left after I bake it.
I make pepperoni bread every time we attend parties because it’s a great snack for guests. Everyone loves it when I serve this at the tailgaiting party!
Pepperoni bread is an excellent appetizer that you can serve with your preferred dipping sauce. It can also be served with a salad , and some cooked pasta to eat to eat for dinner. In any case, my family as well as anyone else who has eaten it will enjoy it.
We’ve also had our pepperoni bread along with some marinara in a bottle and our preferred dip sauce is the Good Seasons ‘ Italian Dressing. It’s so delicious! !
Ingredients
pre-packaged frozen dough that has been pre-packaged and frozen (I prefer Rhodes)
Shredded cheese (mexi-blend or mozzerella)
parmesan cheese
pepperoni or any other pizza topping you’d like to add
Some herbs
olive oil
Instructions
Cover loosely the bread dough in plastic wrap.
Let the dough thaw for a couple of hours at the room temperature.
Make dough into an approximately 11×11 square.
One frozen dough log is one pepperoni roll.
Use olive oil to brush dough or the cooking oil of your choice. like.
Spread pepperoni on the dough and cover all the surface. I prefer to use sandwich pepperoni purchased from the Deli. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese that has been shredded.
Then sprinkle with the shredded Parmesan cheese. It’s possible to use grated from an empty can, if that’s the only thing you are at hand…but you can purchase shreds of Parmesan in the form of a bag. You’ll discover it alongside the other bags of cheese shredded. Wal Mart sells it for $1.99 and it’s delicious. I love having the shreds of Parmesan within the container as the flavor is much more delicious!
Sprinkle lightly liberally with Italian herbs…basically parsley, dried oregano and basil. Be cautious not to use too excessive ….oregano can be extremely powerful and you shouldn’t use too many!
Sprinkle on a bit of powdered garlic. I ran empty of the garlic powder so I made use of garlic salt.
Begin rolling dough at the edge of square.
Place the rolls on the baking sheets and leave space.
Apply butter melted over the uncooked pepperoni roll. There is no need to let the roll rise.
Bake it as soon as you can. It will rise when baked to the perfect height.
Bake at 375°F for approximately. fifteen to twenty-five minutes. The oven temperature. and times can differ.
After baking, the top of the roll should be golden brown , and you will be able to make a sound of tapping across the crust using your fingernail…just like bake bread. It is important to allow the pepperoni cooling completely prior to serving.
