Hot Chocolate Lasagna

In reality the recipe for the Hot Chocolate Lasagna dessert is an upgraded version of my original recipe, Chocolate Lasagna!

In recent times, Chocolate Lasagna became classic desserts. We’re all familiar with the delicious, layering no bake dessert that has an Oreo crust with cheesecake layer with chocolate pudding, and then whipped cream to top it off. It’s so easy to prepare it’s a great crowd-pleasing dessert. Additionally, it’s great for picnics and potlucks anytime you want to serve a crowd.

The first layer is a no bake Oreo crust. The another layer is on top! It’s hot chocolate cheesecake mousse and it is melt-in-your-mouth-good!! !

The third Layer is instant pudding made of chocolate with marshmallows.

The top layer is whipped whip cream topped with a plethora of chocolate sprinkles.

How do I prepare Hot Chocolate Lasagna

Mix together the crushed Oreo cookies with butter that has been melted and place it in the bottom of a 13 9 inches casserole dish. Then, place it in the refrigerator to set before making the next layer.

To create Hot Chocolate Cheesecake Mousse Layer beat softened cream cheese and butter along with vanilla and powdered sugar. In a separate bowl, beat heavy whipping cream as well as hot chocolate until firm peak forms. Incorporate hot chocolate whipping cream into the cheesecake mix and spread it over the crust. Set in the refrigerator or in the freezer until firm.

For the pudding layer, in a bowl, mix Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix with milk until it begins thickening. Mix in mini marshmallows, then drizzle over the hot chocolate mousse. Once the pudding layer is been set, place the cream over it and put it in the fridge for a few hours , or better, overnight.

Prior to serving, sprinkle two cups of marshmallow minis. Then drizzle them with chocolate melted, Nutella or chocolate topping.


For Oreo Crust:

36 Oreo cookies-ground

1/2 cup unsalted butter melted

Hot Chocolate Cheesecake Mousse Layer

1/2 cup unsweetened butter softened

8 oz. cream cheese-softened

1 Cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

5. (0.73 oz) envelopes filled with instant hot cocoa powder (milk chocolate taste)

1 1/2 cups of heavy-whipped cream

Chocolate Pudding Layer:

2 (3.8 oz.) instant chocolate pudding mix

2 3/4 cups milk

1 cup mini marshmallows


1 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream (or 2 1/2 cups of whipped cream)

2 Tablespoons of powdered sugar

2 cups mini marshmallows

Chocolate topping or Nutella for serving


For the pastry,, place the whole Oreo cookies along with their filling into a processor, then grind into fine crumb. Add butter to the mix and then press the mixture into the bottom of a 13x 9-inch casserole dish. Set it in the fridge or freezer to set while making the next layer.

To create Hot Chocolate Cheesecake Mousse Layer Beat softened cream cheese and butter together with powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth and creamy.

In a different bowl, mix heavy whipping cream as well as instant milk chocolate until stiff peaks begin to form. Mix half of hot chocolate-whipped cream into the cheesecake mixture. Fold into the second half ( scrape the bottom of the bowl to mix everything thoroughly). Then, spread the cheesecake mixture on the crust and put in the refrigerator or freezer to set.

To make a pudding layer, in a bowl, whisk Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix with milk until it begins thickening. Add mini marshmallows and sprinkle over hot chocolate mousse. Place it in the freezer or fridge to make sure it is set.

Once the pudding layer is dried, whip the cream. Mix heavy whipping cream with powdered sugar to stiff peaks are formed. Spread the whipped cream over the top of the pudding layer and keep in the refrigerator for several hours, or better, for overnight.

Before serving , sprinkle the mini marshmallows of 2 cups on top of whip cream.

Serve with drizzles of chocolaty, Nutella or chocolate topping.

Hot Chocolate Lasagna is the most delicious next day, when it is completely firm over night in the refrigerator. It can be prepared a couple of days in advance, but I would suggest making the dessert without marshmallows, as marshmallows that were mixed into the pudding became wet after a couple of days in the refrigerator.
