I grew up eating green beans, potatoes, and ham. This family favourite was my inspiration so I made a fun twist. I’ve always wanted to make bacon ham, and the best way to cook it is in a slow cooker!
This recipe was loved and appreciated by my entire family. Darryl could also enjoy this recipe because I used vegetarian bacon. It turned out great. This easy side dish is great for any occasion.
“I often make this dish; although I don’t know the exact measurements, I can give you an approximate idea. Remaining cooking liquid can be frozen and used to make bean soup, ham, or cabbage dishes or to cook dumplings. It’s delicious!”
