Taco Tuesday just got an upgrade with our incredible Taco Stuffed Shells. Blending the rich and hearty flavors of a classic taco filling with the comforting chew of pasta shells, this fusion dish is a fun and filling meal that your whole family will love.
Recipe Story:
Tacos and pasta are two dishes that nearly everyone loves, and our Taco Stuffed Shells recipe brings them together in an exciting new way. This inventive fusion takes the best parts of a traditional taco – think seasoned ground beef, gooey melted cheese, and a dash of salsa – and stuffs them inside jumbo pasta shells. The result is a delicious, satisfying meal that’s as fun to make as it is to eat.
This recipe starts with jumbo pasta shells, cooked to al dente perfection. While the pasta is cooking, we brown some ground beef with classic taco seasoning for that familiar, spicy-savory flavor. A mixture of cream cheese and shredded cheese adds a creamy, rich dimension to the filling.
Then comes the fun part: stuffing the shells. Each pasta shell gets a generous spoonful of the taco filling, then is nestled into a baking dish. A sprinkle of more cheese, a pour of salsa, and a final topping of cheese wrap up the assembly process.
After a trip to the oven, these Taco Stuffed Shells come out bubbly and golden brown, their robust aroma filling the kitchen. Top with your favorite taco garnishes, like sliced olives, chopped fresh tomatoes, or a dollop of sour cream, and dinner is served!

Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions for al dente, then drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef. Drain the fat, then stir in the taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Add the cream cheese and 1/2 cup of the shredded cheese to the beef mixture. Stir until the cheeses have melted and the mixture is well combined.
Pour the salsa into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Stuff each pasta shell with a spoonful of the beef mixture and arrange the shells on top of the salsa.
Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese over the stuffed shells. Cover the dish with foil.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Allow the shells to cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with your favorite taco toppings, if desired.
Our Taco Stuffed Shells are a delightful mash-up of two popular dishes that’s sure to become a new favorite in your dinner rotation. Fun to make and even more fun to eat, this dish is a winner. Happy cooking!
