This Strawberry Pina Colada, made with white rum and frozen strawberries, pineapple juice and cream of coconut is delicious and easy to make.


This refreshing frozen Strawberry Pina Colada cocktail with layers of strawberry pina colada is delicious and refreshing. This drink recipe is easy to make, and easy on the eyes. These layers are the best.

These frozen Strawberry Pina Coladas are great for when you’re at the pool, chatting with friends, or just because.

These have been a hit with my family and friends over the past couple of summers. I also love making them because they are so easy. Everyone wins!

You can’t go wrong with just 4 ingredients and only 10 minutes! The flavor is simply amazing. This combination is so perfect.



For the strawberry layer:
1 cup frozen sliced strawberries
1 ounce white rum
½ cup pineapple juice

For the pineapple coconut layer:

1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
1 ounce white rum
¼ cup pineapple juice
¼ cup cream of coconut
Pineapple wedges for garnish
Fresh Strawberries for garnish



Place the strawberries, rum, and pineapple juice into a blender and blend until smooth, to create the strawberry layer.
Pour it into the bottom of 2 glasses. Clean out the blender.
Place the pineapple chunks, rum, pineapple juice, and cream of coconut into the blender and blend until smooth. This makes the pineapple coconut layer, pour it or spoon it over the strawberry layer in both glasses.
Garnish with pineapples and strawberries if desired.

This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled.
If you want to use Malibu in place of white rum that would give it an extra punch of coconut flavor.
This Strawberry Pina Colada is not overly sweet. If you are looking for a sweeter drink, add 1 ounce of simple syrup to each mixture.
Make sure to use a cream of coconut in the can and shake it well. Coconut milk and coconut cream are not the same things.
These can be frozen, but may slightly change the consistency, see my tips above.

This can be made virgin and kid-friendly, see above on how to do that.
Do not try to use fresh fruit for this, you will need frozen.
