If cooked in an al dente way, the texture is going to be firm and soft at the same time. If you allow this dish to cook for a full 9 minutes, you will obtain a softer texture. Nevertheless, it remains very saucy thanks to the sauces used. In addition to this, our spaghetti and meatballs dish is very flavourful and savoury thanks to the seasoning used. You will definitely feel the richness of the taste in your mouth.

Instant pot spaghetti and meatballs is very easy to make. You will not need to cook your pasta separately. You are going to cook everything at the same time. This is very time efficient and it doesn’t require a lot of effort to make. Moreover, the ingredients used are available in every house and you will easily find them in the store. Making this spaghetti in an instant pot allows it to cook quickly and it contributes to using less utensils.

Spaghetti and Meatballs Instant Pot

This quick meal is quite rich in nutrition. In each serving, you get about 382 Kcal. You will get enough energy, but you won’t feel heavy while having it. You will only be full. Enjoy this very tasty meal.  I am sure you won’t get enough of it.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pound raw, frozen or cooked Meatballs,
  • 12 ounces of Spaghetti Noodles (cut in half)
  • OPTIONAL: 1 (14 oz) can of drained Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 (24 ounces) jar Spaghetti Sauce
  • 3 cups Water (fill the 24 oounces jar once)

Garnishes

  • Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Parsley

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In the bottom of the inner liner pot, place your meatballs and add in the halved spaghetti.
  2. Pour water on the spaghetti
  3. If you are using diced tomatoes, add them too.
  4. Pour the spaghetti sauce all over the spaghetti. Make sure that they are all covered with the sauce to help them cook better.
  5. Cover the pot and seal the steam release knob.
  6. Press the pressure cook button and select 9 minutes for the spaghetti to cook. If you want your noodles to cook but remain firm, I recommend that you cook this dish for only 7 minutes in the instant pot.
  7. When the spaghetti is finally cooked, allow the steam to come out from the steam release knob.
  8. Open the lid when the steam is no longer coming out. Stir the spaghetti and make sure that it didn’t stick to each other. If it did, just separate with the fork.
  9. Garnish with the grated and shredded cheese and parsley or basil.
  10. Serve while it’s warm and enjoy.

Notes:

  • A 6 quart or 8 quart pot can be used to make this recipe.
  • You can use broth instead of water.
  • You can use marinara sauce with Italian seasoning instead of the spaghetti sauce.
  • You can garnish this delicious spaghetti with basil in place of parsley.

Other ways to make this dish:

  • If you don’t like spaghetti, you can use macaroni, penne, or shells. However, you should adjust the time according to your choice of pasta.
  • If you change spaghetti with another type of pasta, pressure cook it for half of the time that you have in the package directions.

How to serve?

You can serve with some bread.

How to store?

If you have any leftovers (which I doubt that you will), place them in an airtight container and put them in the fridge. Try to have them as soon as possible.
