I promise you that you will not age in your kitchen while making it. It makes up a great dessert and the kids love it. In this recipe, we are learning how to make Kool aid pie. It sound so fun! The kids will love to pitch in for help, too (not that you need it, but it is a great way to include your kids in your daily chores). Enjoy.

 

To give you a general idea about this dessert, you will need Graham Pie crust, whipped cream, sweetened condensed milk and a packet of Kool Aid. Isn’t this just the easiest pie ever? You can prepare it in few steps, too. You just mix the ingredients for the filling, spread it over the pie and allow it to cool in the fridge. This American dessert is very tasty. It is not too sweet; just enough for both adults and kids to have. The texture of the crust is crunchy and the filling is very creamy. This balances the texture of this pie; not too crunchy and harsh. For the taste, you can choose whatever Kool aid flavour that you like and mix it with the rest of the ingredients. I make this pie very often especially if I have guests coming. After being tired of preparing a large meal, I make this pie and put it in the fridge to chill. It takes only 5 minutes to prepare and you are done.

How to serve?

Decorate the pie with whatever you want: colored chocolate sprinkles, or fruits according to the flavour used.

Cut the pie into 8 even pieces. Serve with a beverage or alone and enjoy!

 

How to store?

This Kool aid pie can be stored covered in the fridge for a maximum of a week.

 

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 packet of Kool-Aid
  • 8 oz can  of thawed whipped cream,
  • 1 graham cracker pie crust

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Mix the sweetened condensed milk with the packet of Kool Aid in a mixing bowl.
  2. When they are completely combined. Add in the whipped cream and mix using a silicone spatula or a large spoon.
  3. Spread the creamy filling evenly in the pie crust.
  4. Cover the pie and place it in the fridge to cool for a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of overnight.
  5. Serve, cut into pieces and enjoy!

  • You can use any flavour of Kool Aid that you prefer.
