INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 (10 ounces) cubed to 1 inch premade angel food cake ,
  • 1 (21 ounces) can strawberry pie filling
  • 1 (3.4-ounces) box vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 1 and ½ cup of cold whole milk
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 (8 ounces) thawed tub whipped topping

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Prepare your 9×9 glass baking dish by spraying it lightly with a non-stick cooking spray
  2. Place in the bottom of the baking dish a layer of the cubed angel food cake.
  3. Pour 2/3 of the strawberry pie filling on top of the cake base.M ake sure to spread the filling evenly.
  4. Add another layer of angel food cake cubes over the strawberry pie filling.
  5. In a medium mixing bowl, add in the milk and sour cream. Whisk these two ingredients until you have no lumps in the mixture.
  6. Add in the instant pudding mix to the milk and sour cream. Whisk again until the mixture starts to become thick and is soft.
  7. Spread this creamy mixture over the cubed cake evenly.
  8. Add another layer that is evenly spread of whipped topping using an offset spatula.
  9. Take the rest of strawberry pie filling and spoon it in dollops over the whipped topping. Swirl the pie filling gently using a butter knife.
  10. Cover your glass baking dish and allow it to cool in the fridge for at least 8 hours. You can even keep it in the fridge overnight.
