The classic Paloma drink first originated from the 1950s. It was originally made with 2 ingredients; grapefruit soda and tequila. We upgraded it now and added other ingredients. We added lime juice, simple syrup, and soda water. We decorate it with flaky sea salt and grapefruit wedge. You can also substitute some of these ingredients; like changing the flavour of the syrup by using strawberry and ginger syrups. We add ice to this recipe to make it more refreshing. In order to have a fancier drink you can use clear ice.
This drink is not too heavy. It is light and sweet enough only. You can really feel the kick of tequila in your mouth. It is very savoury and energising. It is prepared in 5 minutes with few ingredients only. You will not need many utensils to put it together; just a glass, a plate and a shaker if you decide to make this drink with jalapeno pepper.
