1 cup warm milk
1 package (2 1/4 teaspoon) instant yeast
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups bread flour
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

For the Filling:

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon

 

For the Glaze:

4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2-3 tablespoons milk

 

Instructions:

In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, sugar, salt, butter, and 2 cups of flour. Stir until smooth. Gradually add the remaining flour to form a soft dough.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size, about 1 hour.

After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a 12×8 inch rectangle. Brush the surface with melted butter, then sprinkle evenly with brown sugar and cinnamon.

Starting from one of the shorter ends, roll up the dough tightly and seal the seam. Cut the roll into eight equal pieces and place them cut side down in a greased 9-inch round baking pan.

Cover the pan and let the rolls rise until nearly doubled, about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden. Let them cool slightly in the pan.

While the rolls are cooling, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and enough milk to achieve a drizzling consistency in a bowl. Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls.
